This platform, “Legal Larry SC,” is an Artificial Intelligence-driven research tool and Strategic Navigator. It is not a legal practitioner as defined by the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 (LPA).
No Attorney-Client Relationship: Use of this platform does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Information vs. Advice: All outputs, including strategy maps and document audits, constitute legal information and strategic recommendations for research purposes only.
Mandatory Human Review: Under Section 33 of the LPA, only qualified legal practitioners may provide legal advice for a fee. Users must consult a registered attorney or advocate before taking any action.
3. Payment, Pricing & Refund Policy (CPA Compliance)
Full Price: Access to the Supreme Chamber is billed at R640.00 (ZAR) per month (inclusive of all taxes).
Manner of Payment: Securely processed via Paystack (PCI-DSS Level 1 Service Provider). We do not store your credit card information.
Refund Policy: Under the Consumer Protection Act, digital services that are executed immediately upon request are considered consumed. Therefore, no refunds will be issued once a forensic audit or strategy report has been generated.
Cancellation: Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time via your user dashboard. Access will continue until the end of the current 30-day billing cycle.
4. Accuracy & The “Hallucination” Warning
While Legal Larry SC utilizes advanced generative AI, these systems may produce “hallucinations.”
Verification Duty: The duty to verify all citations remains strictly with the user.
Liability Waiver: Jaques Eugen Botha and the developers of Legal Larry SC accept no liability for damages arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs.
5. The “Gold Standard” Privacy Promise (POPIA)
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA):
Zero-Persistence: All uploaded documents and text are processed in-memory (RAM) and are never written to disk.
Automated Purge: Sessions are immediately and permanently destroyed upon completion of the analysis.
No Training: We do not use user data to train our AI models.
Automated Decision-Making: Per Section 71 of POPIA, Larry is a support tool; a human must always be the final decision-maker.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this agreement will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and, where applicable, the jurisdiction of the KwaZulu-Natal Division of the High Court.
